As an editor and a new Kindle author, I'm always on the lookout for resources for me and my clients. I just discovered a great new website for e-book authors and readers. This site looks like a gold mine for both Kindle readers and writers who publish on Kindle.
Scroll down for links to other great sites for Kindle authors.
The Kindle Book Review reviews
and features e-books. They also have a “Freebies” page, with daily alerts, and they feature
Kindle books by talented authors who have at least 10 reviews with a 4.0-star
rating or better. According to their home page, they strive to be a filter for
readers, weeding out Kindle books with poor reviews.
They have separate pages for novels
under various genres, like Horror/Suspense, Literary Fiction, Romance, Sci-Fi
& Fantasy, Thrillers & Mysteries, and Young Adult.
They also offer a Best Indie Book
Contest, and you can advertise your e-book with them, for a fee.
In addition, they have an excellent "Author Resources" page, with lists of links to many other sites where you can promote your Kindle book.

This is a very helpful list, Jodie. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteIt's all here. Now I just have to do it.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jodie.
Wow, great list Jodie! I've heard of a number of these but definitely some new ones to me.
ReplyDeleteCurious as to whether anyone has used Digital Book Today and if they have seen increase in sales?
Thanks!
Great list! Thanks for putting it together. :) Here's a few to add:
ReplyDeleteGutsy Indie Publishers--great FB group that is about helping and sharing knowledge, not promoting to each other.

Thanks, Jenny, Mar, Stacy and Angela. Stacy, maybe someone else can answer your question...?
ReplyDeleteAngela, thanks for the links! I'll add them to the post! :-)
Angela, just read your links more carefully - they look awesome! Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteUseful list. I've bookmarked the page. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWow, Jodie… what a great compilation! And a lot I've never heard of. The great caveat is that while these are here this week, they may not be here next.
ReplyDeleteTaking the time to go to as many of these as possible is what made my last free-day stint allow RED TIDE to get in the hands of almost 35,000 new readers.
A GREAT resource here! Thank you!
This list is a real goldmine! Thanks for sharing it with us. So much time spent marketing our books is just finding quality sites. This helps cut down our search time. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Carol, Peg and Kelly. Now to find the time to start exploring some of these resources! One at a time, I guess. Maybe reproduce the list on a doc of your own, and delete any that don't seem to work for you, and slowly narrow down the list to the ones that suit you best and seem to help sales.
ReplyDeleteHi Jodie.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the listing for eBookSwag! I'm honored to be listed with these highly esteemed sites.
I'm providing the Facebook page promotions for free right now, and I've brought back the twitter add-on. Please feel free to pass along the information. There's a request form on the site under the "For Authors" drop down on the navigation bar.
Have a wonderful week!
